CNC Lathe Turner required to effectively program, set and operate the lathe in order to produce orders on time and to the required high quality standards. This role would suit a qualified engineer looking to develop and progress.
Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to: - Machining exotic materials e.g. 625,718, using FANUC 32i control system - Able to understand complex engineering drawings - Able to set or modify existing programs - Use measuring equipment and basic CMM - Implement minor and suggest major tooling changes - Suggest process improvements to the engineering department - Assist and instruct others - Loading varying size components into the machines competently - Monitoring long cycle times Our successful candidate: - Competent machinist, with experience from a similar role - NVQ 3 or equivalent in Engineering preferred - Strong work ethic - Willingness and ability to follow management directions to achieve results - Excellent timekeeping & communication skills - Enthusiasm and desire to learn - Ability to work alone and part of a team Hours & Remuneration: Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:00, Friday 07:00-12:00 (39 hours per week) £competitive + overtime, paid weekly Benefits: - Generous profit sharing bonus scheme - PPE provided - Modern working environment with onsite parking We reserve the right to close or extend the advert dependent on application numbers, therefore we urge any interested applicants to apply at the earliest convenience.
