Sheffield Superturn Ltd
Founded in 1983 by the present Managing Director Andrew Taylor, Superturn flourished as a sub-contract machine shop. Over the following two decades, the company continually invested in modern CNC machinery to produce components for the food, automotive, steel and petrochemical industries.

By 2006 it had a £4.5M turnover, an excellent reputation for quality and service and employed forty skilled people in a prestigious purpose built factory.

X:CEL (GB) Ltd
Founded in 1995 in Leeds, West Yorkshire, X:CEL began life as X-CEL Gasket Co Ltd and prospered as a stockist of all types of metallic and non-metallic seals, supplying mainly to the petrochemical and refinery industries.

In 1998 X-CEL won its first regional contract with a market leading OEM. In 2000 this turned into the first global contract, supplying ring joint gaskets and precision machined components through our UK and overseas supply chain.

In 2002 X:CEL won its second global contract with another market leading OEM. This was largely due to the strong global supply chain developed since 2000. In 2007 X:CEL (GB) Ltd began work developing an alternative, lower cost supply chain in India.

X:CEL Superturn (GB) Ltd
In 1998 the collaboration between X:CEL (GB) Ltd and Sheffield Superturn began. X:CEL realized that they could utilize Superturn's considerable expertise as a subcontract machine shop, and over the years, the working relationship flourished.

In October 2007, Sheffield Superturn purchased X:CEL (GB) Ltd and the personnel joined forces under one roof at the Superturn facility in Sheffield, with both companies becoming one operation.

X:CEL Superturn (US) Inc

July 2009 saw the opening of our Houston stocking warehouse and sales office based close to the Energy Corridor in Houston Texas. This office will service all sectors of the Oil and Gas industry with the stocking of Ring Joints, Spiral Wound Gaskets, Specialist Bolting and Super Duplex Flanges and fittings. At present, the company has 45 staff and a £12M turnover. The forecast is for this to increase to £18M over the next three years.
